Daniela’s life story is written in pages where music, lyrics and love in abundance take up the best chapters. Was born in Colombia, and ever since she was a little girl, she understood she had a musical gift, a skill she has built with a lot of faith and drive.
The daughter of two voices in love, Fabio and Nancy, who met at a choir; and from this union, Camilo and Daniela were born, she discovered her passion for the music.
“God gave me this talent, and I would use it very naturally; I would sing at school, church, at home…”, she says.
Both her musical and spiritual calling started growing at the same time. She always took interest in Sunday Bible School and Biblical History, thanks to her parents, who taught her how to pray, “believe in God’s love and sovereignty”.
“I have seen my parents face challenges, and it’s beautiful to see how they’ve overcome everything and how they stay so faithful, gorgeous and strong. I’ve learned to admire this in them, their faith and confidence in God”, she affirms touched.
In 2006, she traveled to South Carolina as a foreign exchange student. A family hosted her and protected her as a daughter; today, she recalls them with a lot of love and thankfulness.
Daniela also met Billy, with whom throughout 15 years, and despite the long distance, have built an indelible friendship.
“We always stayed in touch and traveled together to Colombia and USA. Billy and I became boyfriend and girlfriend and in less than a year, we got engaged and finally got married”, she expresses with excitement.
The wedding took place in a beach of Pensacola, Florida; they chose Jacksonville to live after several months in Norfolk, Virginia.
“We met at a classroom and we started talking, then we had a few dates and became friends. I went back to Colombia but we kept talking. I always admired how decent, gentleman, nice, sweet and generous he is”, she says.
The rise in Daniela’s music career is the sum of effort and dedication; therefore, she expresses her appreciation to Gloria Rodríguez, her music and vocal mentor and coach, from InsideSong Producciones.
“Every person has a special talent and should develop it; this is God’s calling for each one of us. It is a blessing when you start seeing the results and living what you always dreamed of”, she affirms.
Daniela longs to share the stage with other Christian artists and wants for her audience to keep growing and “for more people to be touched by God through my music”.
Each melody, idea or feeling resounding in her head and heart, she translates into paper, verses, rhythms and structures that become her song.
“I compose based on my moods, life and experiences. And every time I listen to my songs I remember the specific time in my life when God and I composed it”, she explains.
Professional Musician and Sound Engineer Felipe Monsalve from FM Studio is in charge of fusing up Daniela’s ideas to transform them in a production with impact.
“He listens to what I have, co-creates, produces and gives me ideas as well. Afterwards, I record and we’ll have all we need”, she says.
Daniela has traversed several music styles such as pop, country, soul, RNB and rock en español; nonetheless, she has located herself in pop, Latin pop and (Latin) urban. Her next production will come with an Israeli middle-east style.
“I spend my days in my studio, go to the gym, develop other artistic gifts and I teach languages virtually. I’m part of my church’s Worship Team in Jacksonville, and I’m thrilled to be there.
I have a beautiful connection with the Hebrew language and it’s part of my essence on almost each of my songs”, she describes with detail.
Joshua Aaron, Shiloh Ben Hod, Jaci Velásquez, Marcos Witt, Danilo Montero and Ingrid Rosario are some of her favorite artists.
Daniela is a Linguist, Translator and has a Degree in Language Teaching from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. She studied Spanish, English, French, Italian, German and Hebrew.
“I began teaching even before graduating; it’s a wonderful gift because a language is a phase of yours that you didn’t know. A language is a door to another world, culture and way of thinking”, she mentions as she recalls her college days.
Daniela is joyful, prudent and kind. She defines herself as “a colorful, dancing, sensitive woman, who loves God and nature. A “Colombian Woman”.
She loves to travel with her husband and looks forward to going back to Israel and other countries. Each gift and words of love that she receives she acknowledges God’s goodness and love, which she dearly keeps in her heart.
