Andrés Gutiérrez llegó a Estados Unidos creyendo que ‘el que debe es el que vale’, porque ‘el crédito es quien manda’, principio que lo hizo cavar un profundo hoyo de deudas, al extremo que a veces no tenía dinero para llenar el tanque de gasolina y el estrés por su situación financiera, afectó considerablemente a su familia, al poner en vilo a su matrimonio.
Pero quién es este hombre que saliendo de la nada, ahora es un exitoso empresario y prominente orador que viaja por todo el país ofreciendo charlas financieras, tiene su propia página web y trasmite sindicalizadamente para todo Estados Unidos y Latinoamérica el espacio radial ‘El Show de Andrés Gutiérrez’, donde es conocido como ‘El Machete ‘pa tu billete’, con la certeza de que la paz financiera y familiar existe. Andrés acaba de publicar el libro ‘Transforma tus Finanzas en 30 días’.

Ciego en cuanto al verdadero manejo del dinero, muy joven aún, con un matrimonio ‘colgando de una telaraña’, escuchó el programa de radio de Dave Ramsey. “En ese entonces, debíamos la casa, el carro, las tarjetas de crédito y mi esposa Zaira y yo discutíamos como perros y gatos”, cuenta Gutiérrez.
Lo contradictorio e irónico a la vez era que Gutiérrez laboraba como asesor de finanzas. “Imagínate una persona quebrada, ayudando a crear riquezas. Es como un gordito enseñándote a bajar de peso o un ciego mostrándote el camino”, repite en cada una de sus presentaciones.
“Yo pensaba que Ramsey estaba loco porque decía ‘no’ a las tarjetas de crédito. Seguramente estaba transmitiendo para otros planetas, no para nosotros donde el que debe es el que vale”, indicó el joven oriundo de Tamaulipas, Matamoros. Aunque no entendía todo, tampoco dejaba de escuchar el programa porque necesitaba salir del caos financiero en que estaba sumido.
Poco a poco Andrés entendió la diferencia entre la economía que daban en las noticias y la de su casa. Para beneplácito y para la salud de su familia y los clientes, la pareja decidió asumir el reto al hacer suyos los principios del señor Ramsey incorporándolos a sus vidas; el resultado fue grandioso y profundizó la pasión en Andrés por ayudar a la gente.

Andrés empezó con el plan de los “pasitos” y transformó radicalmente su vida personal y financiera. “A los dos años salimos de deudas, ahora tenemos un plan financiero y disfrutamos de la vida”, dice Gutiérrez con amplia sonrisa en su rostro; “pero lo que más cambió fue el matrimonio”, resaltó.
Por aquel entonces Dave Ramsey, reconocido autor de libros de finanzas personales para los anglosajones, andaba buscando la forma de hacer llegar sus principios financieros a la comunidad hispana, hasta que en el 2009, Gutiérrez se une al equipo de Ramsey, con el objetivo de ‘dejar caer el machete para dejar que el dinero se comporte’
Ahora ‘El Machete’ comparte estos principios con mucha convicción en diferentes plataformas, porque él sabe ‘ lo que es salir de cero y crear prosperidad’, convencido que no se necesita ser un experto en finanzas para vivir en paz financiera.

Por estos días Andrés Gutiérrez promueve a lo largo de todo el país la presentación del libro ‘Transforma tus finanzas en 30 días” donde esboza la fórmula mágica para comenzar a disfrutar una vida plena, sin deudas, a través de tres pilares importantes encaminados a cambiar nuestra vida financiera.
En su libro ‘El Machete’ da a conocer la fórmula de éxito financiero a través de diferentes pasos que se deben seguir ininterrumpidamente comenzando con juntar $1000 para resolver imprevistos. “El ahorro es el principio de los ricos, es el secreto para darle prioridad a lo más necesario, para vivir con el resto”. asevera. El paso 2 consiste en salir de’ la bola de nieve’, al pagar toda la deuda acumulada comenzando por la deuda más pequeña hasta la de mayor cuantía. Después deben de completarse los ahorros de un fondo de emergencia para al menos 6 meses de gastos, Invertir el 15 % de los ingresos en cuentas de jubilación y en caso de tener hijos menores, acumular fondos para pagar los gastos universitarios.
